DTC brands are more connected to each other than in any other industry we know. It’s nevertheless important to bring that conversation to a broader audience so that we, as a community, can continue to innovate on product, convenience, and price.

Maria Molland — CEO at THINX
Maria Molland Selby is the CEO of Thinx, the feminine hygiene company behind the eponymous leak-proof underwear brand. Maria has over 22 years of experience in the development and management of marketplace, e-commerce, digital media, and technology businesses. She brings broad, international experience and experience scaling different sized companies, from small teams to hundreds of people.
In past roles, Maria was an advisor to eBay’s CEO as well as Chief European Officer at Fab.com. Prior to Fab, Maria held global executive roles at corporations like Thomson Reuters, Dow Jones, Yahoo, and Disney. Maria received her BA in Economics, Phi Beta Kappa, from Northwestern University and her MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mark Chou is the VP, International for Away, the global lifestyle brand that’s working to transform the entire travel experience. He joined Away as employee #3 in 2016 as VP, Growth Marketing and E-Commerce, and now leads Away’s expansion efforts as the company enters new markets around the world.

Alex Kubo — Head of Intelligence at Burrow
Alex joined Burrow pre-launch in 2016 and led all of the company’s growth initiatives until recently when he formed Burrow’s Intelligence team. As Head of Intelligence, he brings a data-first approach to Burrow’s product development, e-comm optimization, and strategic initiatives.

Brian Magida — Director of Performance Marketing at Warby Parker
Brian joined Warby Parker in 2010 and is responsible for all performance-based marketing initiatives ranging from SEM to TV. Previously, Brian was a consultant at G-II Equity Investors and DN&C LP as well as an Analyst at Muirfield Capital. Brian graduated from Emory University in 2007 with a degree in Economics and Mathematics.

Aditi Sangal, moderator — Journalist at Digiday
Aditi is an international journalist, who currently works at Digiday, focusing on the business of media, marketing, and retail. Previously, she worked with the CNN Political Unit after graduating from Columbia Journalism School.

Nick Stafford — Co-founder at Belay and former COO at Leesa Sleep
In 2019, Nick founded Belay—a marketing and development agency for DTC brands. Most recently Nick was the COO of Leesa Sleep, where he led day to day operations including marketing, design, SEO, technology, product management, and customer experience.
